I highly doubt all the people that liked/ reblogged this are vegan.
I don’t need to be a vegan or vegetarian to be against animal cruelty. I don’t beat my meat before I eat it.
Actually, you do need to be vegan to be against animal cruelty. You don’t love animals if you’re not vegan.
Wow, says who? You?
“You don’t love animals if you’re not vegan.” oh really?
Is this a joke?
Just fuck off.
excuse me .(before i say this i dont care what your lifestyle choise is just that you stop being an arse about it) just because you are a vegan does NOT mean you are better than anyone else! if (the unfertilised therefore containing no living animal) eggs are not taken away from the chickens they will rot and cause the chickens to get ill and will attract insects, if cows are not milked enough then their udders start to ache and they get ill. almost all slaughterhouses kill their animals as painlessly as they can and i realise not all do so and that is cruelty . but don’t go around thinking that people who eat meat or eat dairy products are going around kicking every animal they see. just because you eat meat doesn’t make you a cruel person and just because you are a vegan doesn’t make you some wonderful superhuman so shut the fuck up about how wonderful you all are because you don’t eat animal byproducts
also, as a surprising little note, some people just don’t have the financial resources to go vegan. and others literally cannot do so because their digestive system just can’t handle it.
So before you go and tell people they’re horrible for not being vegan, think about this for a second, then just don’t say anything, cause you don’t know their situation.this should have more notes.

Those tiny red dots are a fresh snake bite on the back of my hand. You can see my hands are more in danger of chapping than they are from the bite of a fully grown, 4 foot long ball python which has a girth about the size of a silver dollar. My snake has bad aim, and this wasn’t anything personal. He bit his own tail once when he missed his food, so I didn’t move out of his way fast enough.
My point for posting this is for people out there who freak out when they see a snake with “OMG IT WILL KILL YOU AND EAT YOU!!” There are definitely larger species of snakes in captivity who can cause a lot of pain and harm, even by accident. Some can even cause death if the owner is particularly inept at handling. Anyone who owns any kind of animal at any time needs to know what they’re getting into. I did my research and chose a ball python knowing the were the smallest of the pythons popular in captivity. They can be really hard to feed and finicky eaters sometimes, but they are extremely non-aggressive and will ball up most of the time if they feel threatened.
When they bite, you’ve probably had bigger pimples in your life, so no, they aren’t going to kill and devour you in your sleep.

A lot of people have reblogged this because of some argument about veganism. but I’d like to point out that more animals are subjected to cruelty than just the cute puppies and kitties and bunnies. Exotics like snakes and lizards and tarantulas are not only abused and neglected as well, but many people don’t even care because they see them as ‘lesser’ animals not worthy of love or even basic respect. Exotic pet lovers struggle with ignorant and insensitive people who would belittle them and talk about committing violent acts against their beloved companions to their face. Many pet stores are full of sick and dying reptiles, amphibians and arachnids, left to suffer until they die because the employees simply don’t care about their well-being. Exotics are stigmatized, depicted in media as the animal of choice for “creepy” people and disgruntled, sadistic bullies. Tarantulas most significantly, as cartoons such as Rugrats and Total Drama island have introduced tarantulas and had them smashed as jokes. I can honestly say that I’ve never seen one positive portrayal of tarantula ownership on television.
So, how about this? Reblog if you’re against cruelty against ALL animals. Not just the cute ones.
